Moh MOH-TOOS infoos

Welcome, true believers! Here are some details about the release of the MOH-TOOS:

MOH-TOOS are 2 inch tall hand-sculpted and hand-painted polymer clay figurines that were made as a tribute to my love for all things Masters of the Universe-- mainly the bad guys! Each figure is a truly one-of-a-kind original piece of fan art. These are not resin castings, so each one is the ONLY one made. That's it... when you have one you own the ONLY one! Each figure comes bagged with an individually hand-made header card explaining the story of the MOH-TOOS!

The characters are:

Skullet
Fishbait
Monkeybutt
Claptrap
Seemore
Pinchfists
Breakneck
Fartblossom

On Sunday November 6th at 9pm EST I'll post an email address where you can send me an email with "MOH-TOOS" as the subject line, and I'll send invoices back to you on a first-come-first-served basis. Because of the extremely limited nature of these figures I'll have to limit one per customer. These will be sent out blind-packaged to be fair to everyone, so you won't know who you'll get until you get him!

Each figure will cost $35 plus $5 for shipping with tracking in the US. I can ship it for $5 globally, but there won't be any tracking... if international buyers want to have the package insured and/or tracked we'd have to go with a different shipping service, but rest assured you will NOT be gouged for shipping-- that's one of my big pet peeves.

Feel free to trade your MOH-TOOS over on the October Toys Forum-- it's a great place full of great folks! Come on over and share a few laughs, and you just might learn some new stuff in the meantime!

Thanks, everyone, and I'll be seeing you SUNDAY NIGHT!!!

What's my MOH-TOOvation?

Well... I know I've been away from this blog for a while, so I figured I'd pop back up with a neat announcement.

These little guys are called MOH-TOOS, and they stand about 2 inches tall and 1.5 inches wide on average-- the one styled after Whiplash is a bit taller and wider than the rest. They are hand-sculpted and hand-painted one of a kind pieces-- these are NOT resin castings. Just like the Kawaiiju when you own one of these you own the ONLY one. You'll be getting an original piece. Additionally, just like the Kawaiiju these are unrefined sculpts that show the hand of the artist. They'll be packaged blind, but I figure if you guys are as crazy as I am about the Masters of the Universe you won't mind getting any of them... I tried to pick the most recognizable fan favorite characters starting from the first waves and moving forward.

A couple of years ago when I did the first wave of Kawaiiju figures I was talking with Phil Reed (mastermind behind Battlegrip.com), and he suggested that I make a run of Masters of the Universe themed Kawaiiju.

All this time later, and TA-DA! Here they are!

Stay tuned here-- more details are coming very soon about release time, packaging, price, shoe size, etc.

I'm slacking off! Just a short while back a poster for which I provided the artwork was released by the guys at Toy Break! GAH! I should have mentioned it here, but I done goofed! The poster features the wacky Toy Break crew and some of my Kawaiiju critters!

The poster is still available here, and here's a spiffy review of the poster from DesignerToysUK:

The Kawaiiju.... are gone.

Well... the last of the Kawaiiju have been claimed by kind collectors out there in the real world. I cannot thank all of you enough for making one of my childhood dreams come true. I have always wanted to make toys since the days I would make cardboard monsters in the living room floor to fight my Godzilla toys. You guys who supported me in this endeavor have made me the happiest kid on the planet. THANK YOU!

I shipped off the bulk of the figures today, and the last few purchases will ship out soon.

The lady at the post office looked at me like I was insane (I am) when I came in with that huge box full of boxes. Together she and I filled out all the forms and such, and I managed to ship out 17 boxes at one time. I like to actually take the packages to the post office and send them out that way, because the Click'n'Ship thing adds extra days on the delivery time. My friend who gets waaaay too many packages in the mail figured out that Click'n'Ship adds, on average, about 3-5 days to delivery times. Crazy.

Anyway, just wanted to let everyone know where things were with these figures. Keep your eyes on the Kawaiiju thread on the October Toys Forum... I'm sure folks will be showing off their figures and trading them there. I encourage the trading of the figures! It allows you to better get exactly the figures you want, and it introduces you to awesome new people!

If there are any problems with your orders, please don't hesitate to contact me: kawaiiju@yahoo.com. I will try my best to make you 100% happy!

Thanks a million!

Mountain O' Boxes

Pheyden and Exellis explore Kawaiiju Box Mountain:

I've been making and packing Kawaiiju boxes all day. I went through two rolls of packing tape today! I have to go get more tape in the morning when the store opens (living in the boonies means no access to any 24 hour stores).

The next fun bit is actually shipping them out!

I'll be sending these out on Thursday.

Thanks everyone for your incredible patience!

And then there were... a few!

Thanks everyone for making this a fun, fun, fun Kawaiiju launch! Congrats to the winner of the contest and thanks for sending in such great super attack moves ideas even after the contest! I've said it before, and I'll say it again: you guys are THE best!

Thanks!!!

GO TIME!!!

Here we go! It's time! The Kawaiiju are GO!

And to commemorate the occasion, here's a little comic strip I created for everyone starring those rascally Toy Break guys George, Ayleen, and Ben... Enjoy!

Now, to purchase your Kawaiiju figures, send an email with the total amount of figures you want, your name, and your address. I'll go through the emails on a first come / first served basis and send paypal invoices back to you with the total price. Send your order email to: kawaiiju@yahoo.com

Once again, for clarity's sake: The Kawaiiju figures are between 1.5 and 2 inches tall and are individually hand sculpted from polymer clay and painted with acrylic paint. Each figure is a totally unique, one-of-a-kind art piece. Each figure will come blind bagged with a hand-made package and a hand drawn art card. A randomly inserted "Golden Ticket" will allow one lucky customer to win the ultimate Kawaiiju figure, "Big Daddy." There are 30 figures in all. Each figure will cost $25 (plus a flat $5 shipping fee in the US and $10 elsewhere).

====================================

Now... to get a chance to win your free God Pharaoh, simply post in the Kawaiiju Thread on the October Toys Forum what super attack move you think God Pharaoh should have. It can be a cool move or a silly one-- the crazier the better! At midnight (EDT) tonight I'll throw all the names of the posters in a hat and draw one winner.

Anyone can enter... you just need to sign up as a member at the October Toys Forum-- it's THE best fan forum in the universe, and I think everyone should join and enjoy all the great times we have there.

Thanks everyone for all the support and love for the figures! You guys are THE best!

UPDATE! EST vs EDT!

Zebramatt, one of the awesome guys who posts on the October Toys Forum asked me if the time for the release was EST or EDT... I have to admit that I hadn't even thought about the difference between the two, as I rarely have to deal with different time zones.

In the summer certain states in the US use EDT(Eastern Daylight Time) as opposed to EST(Eastern Standard Time) (Take a look here). I happen to live in one of those states, so I need to update the time for the release.

The time for the release will be 5PM EDT on May 16th, so check that against your local times.

Sorry for the mix-up... I want to make sure everyone gets a fair shot at these toys.

Back in the Saddle Again!!!

Good news! I am back in action! My computer is back home and works like a charm! That means the Kawaiiju will make their debut VERY soon. I have a few things to work out, but that's cake compared to the challenges of the last few weeks!

Keep your eyes opened! More to come!

BTW: Check out these crazy cool drawings Nate Ross did of some of my Kawaiiju characters! He's an awesome artist who'd make any creature look cooler than cool! Thanks, Nate!!! I am quite honored!
